Adrienne Mazzella Sewell

Adrienne Mazzella Sewell, 64, of Swansboro, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026 in her home.

Adrienne was the loving wife of Edward Moore Sewell Jr., with whom she shared 40 years of marriage. She was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and operator of Mazzella’s Italian Restaurant. She was known for her bright smile, her love for life, and her devotion to her family.

Adrienne is survived by her husband, Edward Moore Sewell Jr.; her children, Amanda Irene Sewell, Edward Moore Sewell III (Ashleigh), Ashley Annette Sewell, Peter Thomas Sewell (Kelly), and Adrian William Sewell; grandchildren, Jason, Jonathan, Ben, and Emma; her sister, Diane Mazzella Whited (Phil) of Swansboro, and their family; her nephew, Peter Mazzella (Toyyua), of Mississippi; as well as many family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela; her parents, Peter Paul Mazzella and Helen Rupp Mazzella; and her brother, Peter Paul Mazzella Jr.

Adrienne was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Weeks Farm, 4382 NC-24, Newport, NC 28570. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
