Bertha Rosette Inman

Bertha Rosette Cartner Inman, after several years of suffering with dementia and Alzheimer disease, took the hand of Jesus and walked into heaven surrounded by her family on May 2, 2024. She and her beloved husband have spent most of their lives in the mountains of Western North Carolina and Virginia, they are currently residing in Swansboro, NC.

 Rosette was born on June 18, 1945 to James Aaron and Flonnie Geneva Parker Cartner in China Grove, North Carolina. After she graduated from South Rowan High School in 1963, she went on to study for an Executive Secretarial degree at Queen's College in Charlotte, North Carolina.

 In 1964 while working at a dental clinic in Charlotte Rosette met her forever love, John F Inman. Their marriage of  60 years was filled with great love and affection for each other.

 In her later years Rosette enjoyed cooking, decorating, attending church, and being a mentor for her grandsons in Virginia.

 Rosette was predeceased by her parents James A Cartner,and Flonnie G Cartner, her sisters Brenda Kay Cartner (Kuenzli), Lela Juanita Cartner (Morrow). She is survived by her husband John F Inman, her son Brian Dodradge Inman and wife Jennifer, her daughter Angela Michelle Inman (Robertson). She is also survived by her sister Blanche Marie Cartner (Osborne), her grandsons Joshua J Merrick, Blake D Inman and wife Stephanie, Joshua A Robertson, Logan S Inman and wife Katie, Evan C Inman, her great grandchildren John Dodradge (Johnny) Inman, Elizabeth (Lizzy) Blakely Inman and Anna Cate Inman of Matthews, NC.

 A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the research of the disease of  Alzheimer,   Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) is an organization Rosette felt strongly about.
