Dianna Yost Whaley

Dianna "Di" Yost Whaley, 65 of Newport, NC passed away on January 18, 2026. She was born on August 16, 1960 to John and Fran Yost.

Dianna was a retired school teacher of Carteret County schools. She was an avid bowler and coached many children for many years. She loved NC lighthouses, dolphins, and the UNC Tarheels.

Dianna is survived by her husband, Randy Whaley, and her children, Melissa (Darnell) Randles, Laura (Chris) Malone, and Patrick Todd. Six grandchildren, Daysha, Alec, Connor, Raymond, Lillian, and Alex, her sister Terri (Jay) Garner, brother Mark (Darlene) Yost, and several nieces and nephews.

Dianna is preceded in death by her parents, John and Fran Yost, and her second husband, Charlie Todd.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Mt. Pleasant Free Will Baptist Church at 2635 Mill Creek Road, Newport NC 28570.
