IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Lloyd
Weller II
January 14, 1957 – February 6, 2026
John Lloyd Weller II, 69, of New Bern, North Carolina, born on January 14, 1957 and passed away on February 6, 2026, following a long and courageous battle with respiratory health issues.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Lloyd Weller, and his mother, Joetta Hopkins Williams.
John is survived by his brothers, Joey Weller and his wife Jenny of Williamston, North Carolina, and Jeff Weller and his wife Lynette of Boise, Idaho; his daughters, Breeze Weller of Vanceboro, North Carolina, Charlotte Weller of Coral Gables, Florida; his son, Jonathan Seward of Queenstown, Maryland; and his cherished grandchildren, Landon McCarty, Madison Howard, Cazlyn Howard, Colten Neigebauer, Ocean Edwards, Skylah Jones, and Kohen Dean, all of Vanceboro, North Carolina.
John loved his family deeply and was always immensely proud of them. He was a proud United States Army veteran, serving his country with honor. He was also a professional radio broadcaster (Radio names “Jefferson Stone” and later “George Michaels”) early in his adult life and worked for several prominent radio stations in North Carolina.
John’s true passion and deep love for animals and the outdoors shaped Weller Kennels into a nationally award-winning training facility. For more than 52 years, his dedication established a legacy of excellence in obedience and retriever training that will endure for generations.
Above all, John’s deep and enduring love for Jesus was evident to everyone, most notably through his many years of sharing daily devotions on Facebook, where he touched countless lives with encouragement, faith, and hope. He is now at peace with his Savior.
John’s legacy of faith, service, family, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
