Mildred Petrowski, fondly known as Millie to her loved ones,  passed away at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern on June 21, 2024. She was born on September 20, 1948.

Millie lived a life that was nothing short of extraordinary. She will always be remembered as one of the civilians who bravely refueled an F-18 Mid Air heading to the Ronald Reagan in Japan. Her adventurous spirit and Bedazzled personality shone brightly wherever she went.

Among her many interests, Millie had a love for hibiscus flowers, and sunflowers, finding joy and solace in their vibrant beauty. She was a dedicated member of the Beaufort congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She held firm to her belief in a new system and a perfect life, now peacefully asleep while awaiting her resurrection on earth.

Millie is survived by her beloved husband Rich; four children, Larry Medlin Jr. and wife Bonnie of Monroe, NC, Robin Medlin and husband Mark of New Bern, NC, Tammy Petrowski of Newport, NC, Richie Petrowski and wife Bobbie of Newport, NC; along with eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. Additionally, she is survived by two brothers and one sister.

In the hearts of those who knew her best, Mildred Petrowski's legacy will live on through the memories of her remarkable life filled with adventure, love for family, faith, and unwavering courage. May she rest in eternal peace.
